Challenge
I had launched a commercial compliance program and was uniquely positioned to lead it. But while I was getting this new program off the ground, I was also starting a family. I wanted time to focus on both.
Solutions
The company created a new flexible role for me as a strategic advisor to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). With my deep understanding of the organization, longstanding industry tenure and the relationships I’d developed with leaders, I was able to continue growing the program without taking on day-to-day management responsibilities.
The result? I raised my family and forged my own hybrid leadership path a decade before the pandemic ignited the current hybrid wave.

Helped grow and lead a Compliance Department of 150+ employees

Coordinated our CCO’s interactions with the C-Suite and Board, crystallizing issues, elevating the altitude of our documents and ensuring clear, crisp communication.

Coached executives to prepare for presentations to board and compliance committee.

Helped heads of audit, monitoring and investigations to build sustainable programs to assess ongoing operations, communicate key findings and implement programmatic improvement.

Liaised with the Law Function to design compliance solutions for emerging issues.

Helped the company negotiate and operationalize requirements of two CIAs.

Onboarded VPs and other business leaders who took on compliance roles. I also mentored team heads and established a directors’ forum to foster the development of emerging leaders.
